Turning Product Documentation into Support Readiness
Knowledge transfer · Frontline enablement · Escalation design
The challenge
A specialist banking service required support teams to understand both standard functionality and customer-specific configuration. Existing documentation provided a starting point, but practical handling of user questions and exceptions required additional knowledge from the product specialists.
My contribution
I used the team’s documentation review to structure a focused knowledge-transfer agenda. I distinguished frontline support needs from deeper technical topics and formulated targeted requests for specialist sessions, including clarification of customisation, troubleshooting and escalation boundaries.
Value for management
A concrete enablement plan linked to the work support teams would actually perform. This made knowledge gaps actionable and gave stakeholders a clearer basis for coordinating supplier availability, team preparation and the next steps towards service ownership.
